cusco peru
First Day: CUSCO - Km. 82 - HUAYLLABAMBA
Transfer from the hotel to Km. 82 in which we will meet our porters and equipment. We start our trek escorted by the porters going trough semi-arid terrain along the Urubamba river with magnificent views of snow capped mounts, until we arrive, after about 3 hours at Llactapata , where there is an extensive archaeological site in a beautiful natural setting. Here we leave the Urubamba and set off up the Kusichaca river to our camp in the vicinity of the Huayllabamba , where is our first camp site. (L,D).

Second Day: HUAYLLABAMBA - PACAYMAYO
After a healthy breakfast we begin to walk to the Warmihuañusca pass (4,050 m.). In a short time we will be on the top of the pass. From this place is possible to see the other side of the way that leads to Runkurakay ruins. At the end of a gorge, a place called Pacaymayo we will stop and we will make our second camp. (B,L,D).

Third Day: PACAYMAYO – WIÑAY WAYNA
From Pacaymayo A while later zigzag but short ascent will take us to the Runkurakay circular ruins. There is no sign of human life, only great woods and abrupt hills. After a good rest we start the way down and then we can clearly notice that the Inca Trail is well preserved from this point. In a short while we will get the steps which go up to Sayacmarca ruins (3600 m.)

From Sayacmarca the stone road begins to get into the jungle, we will continue our trek toward Phuyupatamarca ruins. The trail crosses the "Lago Seco" and for brief moments we go up and down. We will cross "The Tunnel", a natural cavity produced by a landslide but adapted by the Incas. The Inca Trail well traced borders continuously the hills full of moss and fern. After crossing a small pass we can see some steep steps and under these the Ceremonial Center of Phuyupatamarca ruins. Going down the trail we can see the Urubamba valley and the river of the same name. The path goes down to Wiñay Wayna ruins, the most important after Machu Picchu and the last site for our camp. (B,L,D).

Fourth Day: WIÑAYWAYNA - MACCHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Very early in the morning we will leave our camp towards Inti Punku the last pass. From this site Machu Picchu looks unreal and beautiful. We can visit the whole ruin the rest of the day. The train goes back to Cusco from the Aguas Calientes station. Arriving and transfer to the hotel. (B,L).

End of Our Services.
NOTE: LAST CAMPSITE COULD BE IN PHUYUPATAMARCA.
